G. W. Constant
The Home of G. W. Constant in 1901
Our Souvenir edition would be necessarily incomplete did it not contain mention of Mr. G.W. Constant. No one whose name may be found on these pages has contributed more to the welfare of the community than has Mr. Constant. Until a few years ago he was a partner and active manager of the Tracy & Constant bank. After selling out this bank’s interests to the Farmers’ State bank, Mr. Constant retired from active business. Mr. Constant has held many positions of trust. He was for years president of the village council and a member of the Board of Education. He is always responsive to Illiopolis’ development, cheerfully giving his time and influence to all progressive measures.
